Chaplain Thoughts: How COVID-19 Broke My Heart

A few moments ago, I received word that not only is my chaplaincy program canceled until the end of March, the entire class may be canceled, preventing us from completing the course πŸ˜”πŸ˜’ This broke my heart and hurt even worse when a colleague said they would have to complete another semester of seminary if that happens πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”
I know this is a time of uncertainty, but what about the people in the hospital who were there BEFORE COVID-19?! Don’t they need care? comfort? presence? prayer? listening? communion? encouragement?! What about their families?!
